  13. Dresden 1709, was transferred to Meissen
  14. 1710. The city was bombed by the Allies on
  15. the night 13-14 Feb 1945, 15.5 sq km/6 sq mi
  16. of the inner town being destroyed, and deaths
  17. being estimated at 35,000-135,000. Following
  18. the reunification of Germany in 1990 Dresden
  19. once again became capital of Saxony.
